The Persian Warrior

Persian Warrior (2.62 MB)
Once there was a Persian warrior,
Oh, this was many years ago in ancient Babylon…
Down beside the city’s walls of clay
He lay in the dark with his battle won,
Watching the stars rolling silently ‘cross the heavens,
Feeling lucky, brimming with life,
Planning on how he’ll find him a wife…
Maybe he’ll have ten children,
Take his pension; buy him a farm;
Keep his family safe from all harm there.
Long ago there was a Persian warrior,
Drifting away in a long, long sleep,
A deep, deep sleep.
